Verify what your app stores on the device

Inspect SQLite schemas and run read-only queries in your React Native app to investigate missing or unexpected data.

Database tools let you check the records behind an app’s behavior, such as whether a value was saved or expected records are present. Discover SQLite databases, inspect their schemas, and run constrained read-only queries inside approved app roots.

Register the Suite

await Ansight.initializeAndActivate(
  Ansight.createOptionsBuilder()
    .withDatabaseTools({
      includePlatformRoots: true,
      additionalRoots: [{ alias: "fixtures", path: "/tmp/app-db" }],
    })
    .withReadOnlyToolAccess()
    .build(),
);

Registration API

  • withDatabaseTools(options): configures native database tool options.
  • remoteTools.database.additionalRoots: exposes additional approved roots.
  • remoteTools.database.includePlatformRoots: controls whether standard app roots are searched.

Specific Concerns

  • The suite is SQLite-focused.
  • Query execution is read-only.
  • Schema and query results can expose sensitive user or app data.
  • Root paths are interpreted by the native platform.
