Build Workspace
Use Ansight Studio Build to work with coding agents, control a local app target, inspect live runtime evidence, annotate the UI, and move app files into an agent workflow.
Build places the coding-agent task, the running app, and live Ansight evidence in one workspace. Use it when the next development step depends on what the app is doing now rather than only on source code or a saved capture.

Requirements and Availability
- Local device preview and control are currently available in Ansight Studio for macOS.
- iOS simulators, Android emulators, and active macOS apps using the Ansight SDK can appear as targets. Available controls vary by platform.
- Performance, visual-tree, file, and annotation features require a connected live Ansight session and the corresponding SDK capability.
- App tool guards still apply. A connected app can deny reads, writes, uploads, inspection, or mutation even when the Build UI is present.
- When a selected workspace is not integrated, Build can start the Ansight installation skill. When the SDK is installed but the app is not running, the live panel explains which capability is waiting for a connection.
- The companion app is coming soon. Build already exposes its mobile-access policy so access can remain off until explicitly allowed.
Recommended Workflow
- Link the app’s development folder in the workspace pane.
- Select or start a local target.
- Run the Ansight-enabled development build.
- Open or start the relevant coding-agent task.
- Reproduce the behavior in the live preview.
- Inspect performance, logs, visual trees, files, or annotations beside the app.
- Add focused evidence or a file snapshot to the task and send the next instruction.
- Use Replay when the work needs a durable, time-aligned capture rather than only the live state.
Build and Replay
Build is optimized for an active development loop. Replay is optimized for reconstructing a saved session. Evidence selected in the Build performance panel can still move into its visual-tree, file, or annotation context, and snapshots created from Build remain available for later review.
