MCP Tools
Agent-facing reference for the built-in MCP tools exposed by Ansight Studio through the local bridge.
Ansight Studio exposes a fixed set of host-owned MCP tools to connected agents. These tools let an agent inspect known apps, pairing configs, sessions, logs, telemetry, screenshots, visual trees, touch input, annotations, artifacts, live app tool catalogs, and Ansight Studio diagnostics.
This section is the agent-facing reference. User-facing Ansight Studio workflows are covered in the main Ansight Studio section.

Built-In and App-Defined Tools
The pages in this section describe Ansight Studio’s built-in host tools. App-defined SDK tools are different: they are reported by a live paired app at runtime, listed with the live app bridge, and invoked through Ansight Studio.
Use Live App Bridge when an agent needs to discover or call tools registered inside the paired app.
